Edward Geraldine (AKA “Edge”) is the newly crowned King of Eblan. He was one of the Chosen Heros of the Crystal Wars, during which he suffered great personal losses that have left him a still-wounded man. Not only was his kingdom destroyed, but he was also forced to slay his own parents (who were transformed into hideous monsters by one of Golbez’s underlings). His heart is still haunted with these memories and his silent rage keeps him from ever fully forgiving Golbez for the tragedy. Edge now works to help rebuild the Kingdom of Eblan and support the other nations of the Blue Planet as they do the same.
Fiery, quick-tempered, mouthy, independent, irresponsible… he is the epitome of horror for any Chancellor to keep up with. Edge fancies himself as a ladies’ man and always has a pick-up line ready for the draw. However, he only has eyes for one girl in the world — Rydia. And she’s the one girl he can’t get. He’s far too stubborn to admit his feelings for her even to himself, refusing to acknowledge any character “weaknesses” he might have.
Edge has an overwhelming respect for his former comrade, Cecil. For this reason alone, he tends to give into the Paladin’s judgments even if they go directly against his own way of thinking. Which is a good thing… since Edge rarely delves into thought before taking action…
